Special Projects
We successfully replaced the entire roof lining of the NGV while all HVAC systems and sprinkler systems remained live to protect the $7b of art housed below.

hopkins & fenollar - known by most as simply h&f - was created to service a large and loyal builder base in metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding regions. Our builder base is both maintained and grown through a combination of good service, sharp pricing and referrals.
hopkins & fenollar are your go to solution for high-end residential builds, having worked on hundreds of the most elite homes in Melbourne since 2014 - including Raheen in Kew and several famous Toorak and Brighton residences.
Commercially, we have worked on police stations, auditoriums, hospitals, universities, dozens of apartment buildings, several KFC and McDonalds builds, and even swimming pool linings.
We also undertook other specialty projects such as completing a full removal and reline of the National Gallery of Victoria roof from combustible insulation to Kingspan insulation.
Our key staff:
Greg Hopkins is an Honours qualified Mechanical Engineer who majored in thermodynamics, acoustics and design and has been running multi-million dollar turnover businesses in the building industry for the past 25 years. He understands intimately the needs of builders and provides technical advice and support on the thermal and acoustic requirements of buildings - both residential and commercial.
Athol Robertson is a qualified carpenter who gave up the tools several years ago to become an estimator and auditor in the insulation industry. He has audited hundreds of homes following on from the Federal Government Insulation Rebate Scheme and intimately knows not only building layouts and structures but importantly how insulation applies even to the most complex architectural builds and commercial jobs. As our Estimating Manager Athol is the best contact for quotations and tender queries.
Bruno Joaquim is our site foreman and our most experienced installer, having joined h&f in 2015. He helps all our crews ensure correct installation and was key on some of our more complex projects such as the NGV.
Our entire installer base is experienced and professional. All our installers are covered by the requisite Insurances, Workcover and all other relevant site requirements. We routinely audit our installation crews to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and our own high standards. We are proud of our high service levels and get the majority of our work via referrals from satisfied builders and repeat customers.

Passive House
We have done several Passive House jobs over the years including one billed as "Australia's Most Sustainable House" in Toorak. We have also done pseudo-passive house warehouse conversions as per Architectural specifications.
Multi-sites
Large scale (50-300 townhouses) commercial developments with multiple stages of build. We have done dozens of these sites over the years, doing wall wraps, bulk glasswool insulation, Soffit lining boards such as Kingspan and also Hebel party walls.
Baffle Blocks
Baffle blocks are acoustic baffles over the top of walls to prevent sound transmission from one office/tenancy to the next. These are compressed acoustic batts hard to the concrete soffit and the top plate of the wall.
